If you plan to use Blaine Brookshire for your dirt work, or to have him install your Septic System. Make sure you get it down in writing what all you expect him to do in order to complete the project. He didn't finish backfilling the ditches nor removing the rock they dug up which is scattered all over what use to be my yard.

The original extimate for my project was around $2800.00. It turned out to be $4300.00, and he still haven't come back to finish up after three months of calling and re-calling him. Buyer beware. I don't have the phone number at the moment but he's the only Brookshire in China Spring, Texas.

Brookshire Backhoe Service, China Spring, Texas, Bad Dirt Work

I made a deal with Blaine Brookshire verbally that he would clean up the loose rock that would be exposed after the septic system installation. while I don't expect him to pick the rock up by hand, I do expect him to use the backhoe bucket to drag them up into a pile so they would be easier for me to clean up after them.

They left a lot of trash like broken 2"x4" lumber and plastic bands scattered all around.they used sand to bed the pipe in and that's good, but there should have been some top soil placed on top of that to prevent the sand from being washed away with each rain.He had one man watching the other work and the one working wasn't going at it that fast either. All told I'd say the workmenship of the project is amiture at best.

If you have to use Brookshire Backhoe Service be sure to get everything in writing because Blaine is not good for his word. The original bid was app $2600.00 to $2800.00. I had app. 200 feet of ditch dug at app. one foot deep in addition to the original bid and the total cost of the project was $4300.00 which makes 200 feet of ditch very expensive but I trusted him.

After a few phone calles he came by and said he would be back to fix the mess after he finished the job he was on just down the road from me but that was about two months ago and it sure doesn't look like our boy can find his way.

He wears a Master Mason (Masonic) Ring which I thought would indicate that he is an honest man. I guess he got the ring out of a pawn shop though.
