For all of my fellow service members - BEWARE OF Brown Property Management.

I had to leave Sheppard AFB and I deceided to rent out my house. My house is located not far from the gate, so I knew it would be easy to rent. Mr. Brown found tenants and they stayed for three years. I do blame myself for part of this but Mr Brown allowed these people to live like rats in a rat hole.

I decided to fly in to Texas to check on my property and I did not recognize the inside when I arrived. It looked as if they had not cleaned the place for the ENTIRE THREE YEARS! Mr. Brown knew the condition of the home but still renewed these filty, nasty people's lease. When we arrived at the property, Mr. Brown had price listing handy, in case I wanted to sell.

This slum manager knew I was not going to be satisfied with the condition of my property. I fired him and gave these slop hogs notice. I had to put out a couple of thousand to bring my property up to a comfortable living standard.

My wife and I rented an apartment from Brown Property management. When I signed the lease I was told that we had to just wait a few days for "cleaning" so it would be ready which was agreeable because I'd rather have a clean apartment. My wife was visiting family in Canada and I was getting all the things moved in to surprise her. I ended up getting surprised when I set foot it the apartment. It stunk, there was dirt on the blinds, the floors were dirty, the back glass door was dirty and there were spiderwebs here and there. I called the apartment manager if you can call her that (Angela Black) and was told that the apartment had been cleaned and was promptly hung up on so I had to continue cleaning this "already clean" apartment for the better part of the night. Also when I brought to their attention that our neighbors across the hall were smoking marijuana and they had a newborn baby and everything, I was told by Angela Black that "I really need to try to get along with my neighbors" The maintenance guy Andy would go in the apartment when we never said we needed any repairs done. Once when we got back to our apartment at the end of the day we saw that all of our cupboards were open and the television we had left on was turned off. One time while my wife was at work and I was in the apartment I heard the doorknob rattle while I was in the kitchen so I approached the door, only to see Andy opening it and after I saw him, he turned his back, never said a word and ran down the stairs. Also Brown Property Management when you rent from them is supposedly all bills paid and then for a short while they honored that agreement before they started trying to force us to pay our electric bill during the heat of the summer. We told them that they said all along that all bills would be paid and they tried to say "We said if it went over a certain amount you'd have to pay it" and we reminded them that they never told us that and they tried telling us to quit having our air conditioner on and only have the ceiling fans on. Then not too long after that we had a wave of more drug dealers and users move in to the complex to go along with the drug users we had across the hall from us. We had people banging on our door at odd hours of the night trying to get money from us. I don't know how those people got in the "secured" entrance doors at the front. Then when it came time that we wanted to order cable which shouldn't have been a problem since the apartment was supposed to be cable ready but the cable guy said that the cable they had their wasn't any good anymore and he needed the apartment managers approval. I called Angela Black and explained the situation and then once again her ignorance reared it's ugly head. She stated there was already a cable there and I explained to her that it didn't work and she kept debating with me that it did and I asked her if she wanted to speak with the cable guy but she refused to so I then told him to go ahead and put a new cable in anyway because we're supposed to have a cable ready apartment. Angela Black is hateful, uncaring and uncooperative and Nathan Brown is a certified slumlord. AVOID!
