Bryan Brandon performed drywall work for me and it turned out to be a very negative experience at this point. There were several occasions when he was supposed to show up to work and never did and never called. Sometimes I couldn't get a return phone call for weeks despite trying to call every day, or several times a day.

I needed drywall work in two rooms and several ceilings textured. This process started in January and just finished last month. Yes, that's 9 months, and there is still a bit of work that I have to finish on my own. The project should have taken a few weeks. There was one occasion where I waited over a month just to get him to show up.

Despite having an arrangement for half up front and half at the end, I paid as we went along based on the progress they were making because he needed the money. I paid out based on what I thought it would cost to hire someone else to finish in case he took that payment and ran.

At the end, he asked for $400. I knew he hadn't kept any records of the payments and could have just said, "Fine," but I thought I owed him more so I checked my records. I showed that I still owed him $600 so I paid him $600. A day later I found a $300 item in my accounting software that didn't have a name attached to it so I looked at the canceled check and saw it was paid to Bryan.

I called Bryan and said I had accidentally overpaid him $300 and asked if he could give me a call back. It's been almost a month and I haven't been able to get a hold of him.

Since he is so hard to get a hold of I've been calling 20-30 times a day for the past few days hoping to reach him or at least to hear him say, "I'm stealing your money. I know it's stealing and I don't care." It's too easy to just keep the money if you don't have to confront the person you're stealing it from.

Overall, the work on the ceilings was above average while the work on the walls was below average (unsanded spots, screws without joint compound covering them, etc...)

I also then researched his criminal and civil records and found that he has been sued numerous times and lost. If I would have known that before I probably wouldn't have hired him, but he was recommended by someone else that did work for me. It turns out that the only reason he may have recommended him to me is so he could get money that was owed to him. The first check for $600 I paid Bryan Brandon was signed over to the person that recommended him to me.

I am writing this because at this point it looks like at this point Bryan has decided to keep and steal the money from me. It appears that his morals are dangerous and unpredictable, so I don't believe anyone should let this man work on their home because he may be cutting corners, performing shoddy work, stealing money from your home, etc...
