Complaint Review: Bryan Sebeckis

Bryan Sebeckis And For Your Body Magazine ripoff con artist does not pay for services rendered does not return calls owes me $402.00 San Diego California

Bryan Sebeckis hired me to shoot images for his magazine "For Your Home, For Your body" and never paid me!

I should have seen it coming. On our first meeting he spoke so badly about all of HIS OWN clients and his competition. He told me how certain North County dentists in his magazine never pay their bills on time.

He was obviously projecting his own inability to pay his designers and photographers.

He is a ture scam artist and probably will not pay you if you do work for him.

Do not work for Bryan Sebeckis or give him your buisness.

He took advantage of me. He owes me $402.00 for photography I did for his magazine "For Your Body, For Your Home".

Bryan's Track Record on Rip Off Report!!

#6Consumer Comment

Sat, June 11, 2005

I don't even know you Amy, but it's interesting how two creatives in San Diego have the say exact problem with Bryan Sebeckis -- failure to pay!

Bryan claims that I'm a bad designer and that I never gave him what he wanted, yet he never responded this way in emails. He never mentioned once to stop work but too in fact continue on more concepts.

Yes, Bryan Sebeckis is a con artist and his list on Rip Off Report will only grow because of his business practices.

I shall print this out -- more proof for my court case!

Before you hire AMY FELLOWS

#6REBUTTAL Individual responds

Amy Fellows was hired to do a photo shoot. The client did not like the photos and they did not meet the specifications given to the photographer.

After going back and forth with the client, even though the problems were not corrected, full payment was made within a reasonable time (even though there were still problems with the work).

Hired contractors have responsibilities as well.

Be careful when you hire a photographer that handles business this way.

Time for small claims court

#6Consumer Suggestion

Sat, March 12, 2005

For a debt of this size, the best thing you can do is file a small claims lawsuit. California has a very helpful self help website where you can actually fill out the small claims forms online and take them to the proper court: http://www.courtinfo.ca.gov/selfhelp/

It cost around $20 to file a small claims lawsuit and $30 to have the Sheriff's department serve it. In addition to the website listed above, the California State Bar offers a nice section on how to handle your small claims case: http://www.calbar.ca.gov/state/calbar/calbar_generic.jsp?cid=10581&id=2175

Yourt trial will generally be about 4-6 weeks after you file the lawsuit. Good luck!
