I started Bryman in Tacoma in October 2004. I have just completed my courses today. Bryman has been nothing but a joke since I started. Core mod was great and then I went into my program. I was told our instructor was great and very informative.

I later found out she was just hired and knew nothing. Chemotherapy, Chemistry, Math and most of our labs. Many complained about her and our education. We were all told the same thing...You are the only one complaining and nothing was ever done. They explained they would come in and evaluate her instruction and these things were never done by anyone!

The last straw for me was when the instructor brought in a book on puberty to share with us, because she was not able to give our lecture on Chemistry! She said she liked the illustrations and wanted to share them with us. One picture was a boy with an erection standing on a diving board and the caption read, erections come when you dont want them too. Another one was a girl who was naked, caption on this read, see, you can be a blonde and a brunette at the same time. This was outragous, the class couldnt believe what was going on and this is an example of what we paid 12,000.00 for. What an education!!!

I contacted the workforce board and spoke to someone about getting help for the students and Bryman found out. When Bryman found out, they went into a complete tail spin of cover up tactics to make those who complained look like a troublemakers or a bad students. I was written up by my instructor (so they had something in my file against me. Two pages of information that is completely not true!!!

I listened to my instructor be very unprofessional daily as she would come outside and smoke with us. She would occasionally strike up converstations about people in our class. She has asked me if I thought someone was a schizofrenic and spoke about her medical conditions, she talked about someone being a drunk, she talked about someone else being stupid and not being able to retain information!

Now we are getting ready to go on our extern sites and some of us, the ones who have complained, have found out that our instructor has made things very personal. In our extern site papers she has written things like, "will never be happy", "two-faced", wants to be the center of attention", needs to lose old baggage and get a new suitcase". The only thing as we were told that should be in those files are things such as academic ability and attendance. These documents go to our externsites. If this instructor has a problem with someone she should keep it to herself!! I for example have never recieved a bad report from her, I have maintained A's and B's while attending there. Even though I got nothing from her, I did this on my own as well, as many other students.

If she acts as unprofessional with her friends who still are in this field and she talks behind our backs as she did while I attended school...None of us will even have the opportunity for employment.

This is the worst school I have ever been to and recommend that you save your money or go somewhere that is truely professional and care about the education you recieve. We are looking into starting a class action lawsuit!

I attended this school as well during this time of year, but began back in August of 2004 and graduated in March 2005 after my crappy internship. The school year went great for most of my class, although there were a few of us that had weird vibes about a couple of the instructors we had...we thought that maybe they didn't know or have as much experience as we were actually told.

Then out of the blue, a little over a month left of the medical assisting course we were told that the school wasn't accredited. We were all shocked, and a lot of us basically started giving up on hope that all of us would end up with jobs after all this. And another thing is that a lot of these 8-18 month programs, you can't transfer the class as an equivalent to match another schools course. I would basically say spend the little more cash and go to a well known community college or university. You will have better chances at continuing your education by transferring credits or getting recognized at outside companies for employment.

I don't know if any of my instructors were as bad as yours stating bad stuff in my classmates files...let alone my own, but that could be a reason why I was let go from my first internship at a hospital in Tacoma, WA near 19th and Sprague Ave. Then I got sent to basically a nursing home facility in Puyallup, WA where the closest thing I got to practice was finger poking for blood sugar testing and taking blood pressures.

Of course after I was finished I couldn't find a set long term job as a medical assistant (MA). I ended up starting at the bottom of the totem poll as a Nursing Assistant (CNA) basically throwing $12,000 down the drain...to which this day I am still paying off. Luckily I did find a good job for a while that was a clinical job assisting at a GI clinic in Olympia, WA. Eventually, I was let go and replaced by an LPN because I didn't have enough experience...what was I trained for at Bryman with drawing blood and all and yet I can't set an IV drip even though I was trained to pretty much do that.

It bites because I still have all of the MOD books and flashcards for vocabulary, the only stuff I really can't remember is that ICD-9 coding stuff.

Anyways, I now live in Hawaii due to being an army spouse and yet I see commercials for Everest College...hahaha. Corinthian Colleges is just changing the name of their affiliate schools to cover their own butts. This is so they can continue to rip off desperate young students looking for a quick and fast way to get a career instead of paying 4-6 times the amount at a 4 year university.

The reason I know all this is because I went through it. I've been in other peoples shoes who have hoped that they can further their career and make their life better after being a single parent.

I repeat, don't deal with any schools that are owned by Corinthian Colleges. They will rip you off and lie to you just to get you in their system.

And yes there was a class action lawsuit, but they, Corinthian Colleges only payed off a partial amount of students loans.
