Upon BT Properties recent purchase of our apartment complex work began on the empty units.  Our more than a decade assigned parking spaces were taken up by workers with no notice.  Crews of Mexicans with little English ability are now doing the yard work using gas driven blowers and lawn mowers without using any hearing protectors.  Similar individuals with very little English if any are doing remodeling work on empty units which fuels suspicion that they may be unlicensed and/or illegal immigrants.  Tenants were just given a five day notice to empty porches of all belongings for remodel work.  From what I can see the law stipulates at least a 30 day notice.

They point out another complex in our neighborhood and say ours will look as nice as that one.  It has no yard.  They tell us they plan on removing the existing yard and trees at our apartments and put in more parking spaces.

There is obvious work needing to be done on the property that would not impact any of the existing tenants.  They state they are waiting for summer to do that work.  Something seems awry if they must disturb tenants during the winter with little notice, take up their long time parking spaces with no notice and delay doing the work that is needed that would not impact tenants.

My experience with this company gives me real reason to give weight to the other comments on this company.

I found out the current manager travels from one apartment complex to another, staying at them apparently while they are being developed and then moving on to the next.  They have no health insurance coverage.  Looks like BT Properties caters to hiring people who do not mind being abused.  A number of the tenants now plan to move as they do not want BT Properties as their management.
