Inside scoop, this chain of dealerships is located in Waynesboro on East 16 stretching into Rouzerville.  They are a GM dealership, Chrysler dealership and a used car lot across from Sheetz.

If you go there they will capture all your contact information in their "Autobase" database.  This information is used for only one purpose, to telemarket you to buy a car.  Their sales reps are required to make at least 50 calls a day with only one goal and that is to set an appointment, get you inside the store and sell you a car.

They will continue to call you until you put your phone numbers on the Do Not Call Registry.  Even then, if you do business with them, they consider that approval to call them.  You can submit in writing a request to not call.

If you visit this "fine" establishment you will find yourself stepping into a web of carefully crafted methods and procedures to lure you into buying a vehicle.  The first thing you will find is the sales rep is trying to lure you in to the dealership to capture all your contact info.  Purpose stated above.  Based on your answers given, they will determine the optimal vehicle for you.  The price of the vehicle will be the last information they will try to disclose to you.  Of course the new cars and trucks have list price on the sticker, this is the same price you will find at any dealership, however the used cars do not have a price listed on them, you can get this info off of the Internet.  If you do make the unfortunate decision to shop at these wonderful stores, make sure you note the prices off of the Internet site as they will attempt to price them to you higher.

Now these procedures are prevalent at many other dealerships as well and so the story continues.

During my short stay with this lovely group of people, I witnessed employees (allegedly) being sexually harassed, threatened with physical violence and treated like dogs.  When you are interviewed for a job there you will be told "You have to be willing to drink the cool-aid" Reference to Jim Jones and his poison.   I did not know that this was a literal statement.

Ah and finally, if you are so fortunate as to get away from this horrid employment, they will try to steal your last paycheck.  They will charge you for your sales license, uniforms (even if you turn them in), training in some cases and other misc. items.  It all adds up to the final value of your last check..

In my opiniopn it is only a matter of time before this dealership shuts down or changes hands.  The management team is straight out of the 70's and consists of people with anger management issues or home grown car salesmen.  They are insensitive to requests from employees to not make homosexual inuendos and jokes, "get rid of" any employee that try to report the issues to a non existent HR department and have pending litigation to resolve these type of issues.

In summary, do your self a favor and stay far far away from Buchanan Auto Group in Waynesboro as a customer of perpective employee.
