In June 2011, I had communication with the owner Doug Zweber (I believe that is his last name) of Budget Heating and Air (aka Budget HVAC).  He has many different websites, all under the umbrella of Budget Heating and Air.  They have many associated websites such as hvacbuford.com, www.hvacsuwanee.com, and many others.  If you do a search for the number 770-904-2822 begin_of_the_skype_highlighting            770-904-2822      end_of_the_skype_highlighting you will find all the sites out there.

They also have these addresses listed:

2201 Boone Place, Snellville; 4850 Sugarloaf Parkway Suite 209-176; PO Box 102, Suwanee GA 30024

I ended up purchasing a new outside condenser for the heat pump system in our home in June 2011.  I believe it has 5 years warranty on it.  They sent over a very young person to install the unit and it was easily seen that this young man did not have the skills to do this job.  After many weeks(!!) and after the owner Doug sent over the young man's older brother (named David Metz).   He seemed to have more experience and again after weeks was my condenser finally working and we had air.

It is now December, and I tried to turn the heat on.  The unit is not working properly so I did the following actions to try and reach Mr Zweber:

Emails sent to Doug: Dec 5, Dec 8

Phone calls to Doug: Late Nov, Dec 2, Dec 4, Dec 8

Texts to Technician David Metz: Dec 1, Dec 5, Dec 8

On Wed, Nov 30  technician David Metz told me he would come by Friday Dec 2 to fix the problem.  He never called, and never showed up.  I called him Sat morning, and no return call.  It is now Dec 8 and a return text says "Have every intention of correcting your problem".  I have no alternative but to report this bad business so the rest of the Atlanta community can avoid them.

The owner of this company amazes me by trying to say it was the thermostat.  He is trying to fool everybody and thinks I will not be vigilant in responding via the Ripoff report.  He will surely sell you units and send over inexperienced techs to do work, and then never answer calls or emails when customers call.  I thought he was going out of business based on him telling me that he simply would not be dealing with my problem that he created, that he is was "out of the residential business", and that trying to go to court would be "futile" because he was dissolving his buisness.

Please refer to the following email from Doug Zweber dated December 8 2011 (funny how he wrote this rebuttle 6 months later after saying he was out of the business, and any attempt to go through court would be "futulie"!!)

Unfortunately our business has been dissolved so any court fight would be futile. I suggest you contact another company to resolve the issue. The factory covers major parts for 10 years and minor parts for one so if a part of your system is proven defective the service company doing the repair will be reimbursed by the factory for the cost of the part.

Doug - It was not a thermostat problem as you say (I have documentation from certified companies showing it was your shoddy work that was the issue).  You would have known this if you were a reputable business person who held their end of the agreement to provide even marginal service along with the units you sell.  You are simply a very bad business person who is only interested in making unit sales and not backing up any work done by inexperienced technicians who are fresh out of high school.  Shameful.  Advice to others - stay away from these guys!!  Bad news indeed and a total nightmare.  Don't say you were not warned.

Unrelated Problem with Call

#3REBUTTAL Owner of company

Mon, May 14, 2012

This customer bought a condenser (outside unit) from us during the summer months. When winter came along we sent out our tech and found the thermostat operating incorrectly (not the unit) which was unrelated to the work we did. The outside temps were below 32 and the emergency heat wasnt coming on to fire the heat strips.  Customer refused to pay for the technicians time to diagnose the system.  We told the customer if the problem re occurs that we would need payment for the previous call before sending another tech to look at the job.
