Budget Ryder TRS Death trap truck horrible response from Ryder Daytona Beach Florida
In a nutshell. We rented a Budget Ryder 25 foot truck for move from Virginia to Canada. It wound up being impounded by the Ontario Ministry of Transportation for safety violations. Two studs on one wheel were
defective. Wheel could have come off at any time. Fuel tank was not properly attached to truck.
Budget is impossibly rude. They stated flatly that they do not guarantee that their trucks are safe, legal, or even roadworthy. Any safety defects are wholly the responsibility of the renter!
At this point they have offered only $140 refund (on nearly a $900 rental) for a lost day and significant risk of injury or death. No apology.
Do not ever deal with these people - do an Internet search first and see how many people have been shafted by them!
