Joseph Miiami, FL I had received an assignment for work up in the Dallas area back in Oct 2014. I was just finishing a contract in NYC a week before so I had no time to research places to stay while in the DFW area. I looked on craigslist and saw an ad for short term housing in the Budget Suites of Lewisville area, which would be convenient to where I would be on assignment working. I did pay in advance and place a pet deposit for my mini schnauzer that I used to take with me on my travel contracts. This turned out to be the worst decision made by me because this motel or hotel was by far one of the worst places I have seen. The first day I checked in, I had to leave the windows open and Lysol the place. I took a plane back with my dog Fred down to Miami the next day and waited several days to return to start my contract. When I returned, Within the first 2 weeks of staying here in Budget Suites I started developing rashes and blisters on my skin, which later on turned out to grow until I had to have the drained. My pet Fred had started getting these skin lesions which when I took him to the veterinarian there in the Flower Mound area no one can exactly tell me what they were. I have picture which I am enclosing of how he was a month prior to arriving to this hotel. He was energetic, beautiful long hair, and full of life. A month and a half in this place and he became lethargic and not wanting to do much. His lesions became worst, and had several open sores on his ear lobes. Once again I took him to a vet and they said they can give antibiotics, but it’s his skin reacting to something. As for myself, I started to get more bumps throughout my body which were painful and bright red. Also, on a different note, I did notice several transactions in the middle of the night outside my neighbors door which seemed to me drug related because when I would return home in the evening I would smell marijuana all throughout the hallway. I would have the upstairs neighbors making so much noises all throughout the night, at times even vacuuming at 2 am. I did complain to the front desk, but nothing really was done about it. I even had a Lewisville police office knocking on my door with all his might to serve an arrest warrant on the previous occupant. I mean what kind of slum is this? So many domestic arguments that I witnessed there, along with the living conditions. I decided to terminate my contract earlier than anticipated and pay back fees incurred by ending an assignment early but I did not care. At this point on my last week at this hotel, my dog had various seizures in which turned out to be lethal for him. I took him to an overnight pet ER but there was nothing they can do. I did bring him back to the hotel, started getting ready to head back home to Miami but it was not for another week, so what I did was to have him flown back to Miami prior to me so that he would be away from whatever pathogens were living within this apartment. He died 48 hours upon arriving back home, but to me at least he past where he spent his happy times. I am writing this to advise you to really inspect the room that you rent out, at least practice a safe way to disinfect rooms in between occupants. I never want to know of a Budget Suites of America ever again. I really would like for the Texas health department, or Lewisville health department to do an in depth inspection of some of these rooms. I am sure that one can catch MRSA, or some sort of staph infection here. I was recently put on antibiotics and bumps went down, but throughout my abdomen scars remain from whatever I got while at this hotel. I will definitely advise people out there looking for places to stay that do your research prior to jumping in a place that potentially can be life threatening. I will never ever return back to this place with the bad memories that I had. I will enclose photos down below to get a better idea.

Very sorry for your loss. Just had to say , 6 yrs ago my son caught a staph infection on his knee and had to surgery on it. He caught it from their nasty carpet, which they never clean it. Even though the maids have steam cleaners. Its disgusting and the health dept doesn't care. Guest the old man that owns it pays them off. Be ashamed to run a flithy motel, like that. Penny pincher and doesn't care budget ste owner.
