The Budget Suites of America at The Colony was visited by the Police at least once a day. The residence of drug sellers, cocaine and marijuana,  prostitutes, exposing children to all these unsavory elements. All documented at police station and on film, every kid has a camera phone. When they wanted you out, they would turn of the electricity, and in Texas this past summer, every day was in triple digits. They would lock people out of the room if more than 3 days late. Changed rules, charged late fees everyday after 12:00, all employees had a different answer to questions. The on property manager denied me access to medication that was locked in the room, where is could stay cool, and we had to sleep on the porch outside. While the people downstairs were outside smoking pot.

After he had given us his word we could show up with rent, which we did, He ripped up the statues of residency I printed up for him, kept yelling it was a hotel. He chose to ignore a woman and 2 children, telling us to 'not stress' and I might not get sick. I have M.S. and stress triggers exacerbation's which it did in 24 hours. After the district manager showed up and put our stuff out the window, lectured us on how mcdonalds does not give free food, we had to pay for it and budget suites was no different. He told me to take the money we had to pay rent the night before, when the manager wouldn't take it, and go somewhere else. He locked our cats in a carrier in the unit then turned off the air. It was 117 that day. I suffered an exacerbation, and fell into a sign then on to the concrete. When he saw me, he made a wise crack about my face.

Well, "David", or "SMB" or whatever personality you are today, when you post jibberish in a public forum, you will certainly get responses.

The manager was absolutely right to toss you out.

No rip off here.

A rent "due date" is just that.

It's when the rent is due which means payment must be made ON OR BEFORE that date.

Nobody wants to know your problems or hear your excuses.

Just pay your rent or go down the road.

Period.

Loser.

Once a report is posted here is becomes available for rebuttels MR F_ and die idiot!  Dallas is in a housing slump and has alot of cheap apartments for rent.  Also the Colony is an upscale suburban area and if you do not like the way the Budget is run MOVE! I work with a person a person who has MS (and I said WORK). And NO it was never 117 this summer in the DFW area.

Pay your rent on time, and mind your own business!

It is obvious that you were a habitual late payer.

All of the issues you mentioned revolved around your non-payment of rent.

If you would pay your rent on time, and mind your own business, you would not have a problem.

FYI...Budget Suites IS a "motel" according to the law as they rent by the day.

Just the fact that you would live there long term tells the story. Especially with kids!

You can rent a regular apartment MUCH cheaper than living in the Budget Suites.

Did someone force you to live there?

Or, did YOU make a CHOICE to live there??

It seems that you have some sort of entitlement attitude where you think you have the right to stay there even when your rent is not paid on time. Newsflash! You are not entitled to anything!
