Complaint Review: Budget Van Lines

I, like everyone else used budget van lines because they gave me a binding estimate which I signed AND I wrote in myself that if they went past the 12 days max on the contract that the company would pay me $150.00 a day! So they were definately on time delivering my stuff---BUT when they picked up my stuff Alan told me they would send an empty 29 foot truck to my house--ya they sent a 29 foot truck BUT it was 1/ 2 full with someone elses stuff so I had to leave 1/2 my stuff there--then they tripled the bill amount--they told 1859.00 and it ended up costing me 4200.00! Then the driver made me TIP him and the 2 lumpers that unloaded the truck! then they charged me 200 bucks for boxes and packed stuff in them like guitars that were already in cases and one kitchen chair in a large box each..then all the stuff THEY packed was broken--all my furniture was scratched, all my antiques were broken, all my glass was broken --they even stole my tools, my sons computer no longer works, it was a complete disater, stressful, worse move I ever had--I could've done it myself for $2000. This move was from NH to FL. I will NEVER hire any movers again as long as I live--Alpha Van Lines ws movers--the people at budget were nice but alpha van lines were rude, yelling, swearing, and fighting me on every phone call--the guy would hang up on me everytime--his name was Raul---NEVER AGAIN--they cost me a fortune--then they wanted 2000K in cash when they delivered--no creditcards accepted--cause their scammers--and it cost me 60 bucks to get 2000K off my credit card in cash--they ended up costing about $5000 in the ned--Major Rip off--I had mostly all boxes and very little furniture cause I sold everything beofre I moved to keep the cost down--ya right! This company is a total bait and switch! Low estimate and get you in the end!
