Complaint Review: Buget Rental Trucks

I used the Budget Rental Truck web site to reserve a truck for Feb 03, 2007. The web site said, I had a truck waiting for me at the pick up location here in Mountain Home, Arkansas.

I just had one of those gut feelings something was going to go wrong,and sure enough. I called the pick up location to confirm that my truck would be there Saturday morning when I needed it.

When I made contact with Sienna Service Center here in Mountain Home,to pick up my truck. I was told he wasn't open on Saturdays and there is no way I can pick up a truck. He advised he has some trucks but wasn't going to be open for anyone to pick one up.Keep in mind that this was at 4:00 pm on a Friday that I was told this. Making it imposable for me to find another truck for Saturday.

So I call the Budget Rental people back and ask what are they going to do about getting me a truck since they have already charged my credit card.

They said I can rent one Monday,(isn't that dumb) after I am needing it on Saturday. Then told me I can get one on Friday, (how I don't know since the pick up place is already closed) but she will have to charge me for two day rental.

Wow, that is the bait and switch if I have ever heard one. Thank goodness another well known Rental Company saved the day.
