I own a 1997 Buick Park Avenue. This vehicle's ABS brake system and Traction Control come on for no reason. Buick has a recall for this problem, but says my vehicle is not in the recall. My Buick has 70,000 miles and the ABS and Traction Control is integral to the proper function of the brake system. My mechanic says he sees many 1997 Buicks with this probem and a lot of people just disconnect the ABS as they can't afford the repair.

Buick is aware of this wide spread problem with 1997 Buicks and should be required to honor a recall for this safety problem. They recalled some 165,000 Buicks for this problem, but refused to recall the rest of the 1997's with this problem. This is a safety issue that should be corrected by Buick.
