Complaint Review: Bulldog Movers

Bulldog movers moved our family and it took 7 hours with an 8 man crew. The crew was professional and efficient. In that move we went from a large home into a smaller rental home. 9 months later the same company was hired to move us into our new home but sent only a 6 man crew acknowledging it would be an easier move this time. At 10:30pm after 13.5 hours I had to ask them to leave. They had only moved 75% of my furniture and would have been there for another 5 hours if I had let them. They were unorganized, stood around for half the day and obviously had little or no experience in moving. After I had paid them I was informed that actually the move had been contracted out to another company and that no Bulldog employees were actually involved. I was also told that most of their moves were now handled that way. This crew was a scam from the beginning. They were asking me for big tips half way thru the move and they were plain lazy. Bulldog Mover used to be a good company in this area unfortunately they are nothing more than a broker and have no pride in the quality of service they provide. Anyone hiring a mover should ensure that the company they are talking to will actually be the company moving you. I was totally ripped off for $1,500+.
