Beware. Don't be fooled by the fancy building paid for by Katrina insurance and disaster relief money. The true disaster is the food. 

The food is not even premium Sysco food. EVERYTHING is out if a box or a bucket. The condiments that are put on your table are NOT fresh and reused everyday and only changes when it runs out.  Gross. 

Your $26 dollar steak will be seasoned with store bought Lowrys season salt and cooked by whoever is hanging by the grill.  The famous "tuna dip" is scooped with an ice cream scoop and "decorated" to the tune of $12. It's tuna salad you can make at home for 99 cents. Your sister Schubert bread is warmed in a microwave and handled by everyone and occasionally dropped on the floor. No worries they have a two second rule. There is NOTHING original about this place. Your premium dish Trout Long Beach is prepared days in advance on a plate and simply warmed up when ordered, on the same plate.  Don't forget to check your napkins a lot have stains and mildew from being taken to the laundromat rather than professionally cleaned. 

The owner is amazingly narcissistic and his mammoth wife follows suit by commenting on how ridiculous customers are when they complain and will do anything NOT to comp your meal. 

They do have a lot of regulars, but most of those think a fancy night out is a $15  meal. If that's your thing this is your place. Inevidibly you'll make the mistake of trying it once but that's all it will take. 

Save your money.

I have been to this restaurant since the hurricane, and I don't have any problems with them, or any of their other places to eat present/past.  But you do seem to know ALOT about this place, and how they serve food.  You sount more like a bitter employee, than a 1-time guest.
