After using this dental laboratory for over a year for cosmetic dental restorations, the quality of their work deteriorated dramatically. Where I once was receiving beautifull pearly whites that created Hollywood Smiles for the Scottsdale,Az beautifull people, I began to get back junk that looked more like "Billy Bob Teeth" on Holloween. The teeth Burbank used to produce would look like the sample temporaries I had made for the patient, but then I began to receive what looked like anything that rolled out their door.

Numerous calls were made to the supervisor of the dental laboratory and the owner to discuss the problems with inferior teeth, and I was always promised that my cases would be supervised to ensure better quality. Things did not seem to improve, and around June of 2008 there was increasing popularity of dental labs to send cases to China and other countries to save money. After the problems with pet food and baby formula, can we really trust these unregulated foreign countries to make dental crowns with God knows what? Teeth could contain mercury, arsenic and who knows what. The cosmetic dentistry that I was receiving was nothing like the work that I had gotten less than a year ago from Burbank Dental Laboratory. New teeth that were a woman's dreams and savings came to me with silver metal showing underneath all the front teeth, with an explanantion "this was the only way these could be made". I tried the teeth in the patient and she just went ballastic when she saw them and demanded her $5800 refunded. The lab was indignant with the situation and refused to refund of the money I paid for this woman's gross crowns.

The breaking point was shortly thereafter when I sent them the material to make six lower front teeth for MYSELF, the dentist paying the bills. The teeth came back to me ( for myself mind you), big and bulky like stubs of chalk and colored way more yellow that I had requested. The quality of these teeth was so poor that I would have been prosecuted for malpractice if I had cemented these a patient's mouth, and they sent this crap for my own mouth, the mouth of a DENTIST! These are the people that were going to "watch my cases carefully so I got good quality".

I returned the insulting teeth with a letter stating that I would like the charges removed from my bill, and I could no longer do business with them because of terrible quality, with God knows what material they were using and what country they were coming from. These teeth did not look anything like teeth made by accredited dental laboratories in the United States. The owner is from Eastern Europe, and possibly has changed to having teeth made back in the "Old Country".

Anyway, after doing business with this company for almost two years and paying them $85,000 for cosmetic dental cases without ever a lost item, GUESS WHAT? They never got  my ugly teeth that I had sent back to them, so they expect me to pay for their  garbage, teeth that I could not legally put in any persons mouth in any of the 50  United States of America. I refused to pay their invoice and long story short, a full 6 months after any transactions occured between us, they up and invoice my credit card that they had on file for $1105.58. I guess if your businees is going down the toilet, it is OKAY to get money any way you can in other countries. If our credit card companies allow this underworld crime and fraud to exsist, it is no wonder so much credit card fraud exsits today.

I would caution all dentists to avoid dealing with Burbank Dental Laboratory, their fraudulent billing practices and they use a bait and switch work quality to suck you into using their dental laboratory. I would advise all patients to ask what country is making their crowns, veneers, and other dental prosthesis to be assured that materials are being regulated and monitered by agencies of the United States. I intend to spread the word about companies that lie and cheat honest, hard working Americans.
