A few days before Christmas, I purchased Epil Stop and Spray roll on at a local Pharmacy. I was hoping to improve my appearance for the holidays. I had finally decided to remove the hair on my face after several years of contemplation. I followed the directions completely and after the recommended time elapsed, I removed the product and second by second, could feel the chemical burns forming across my upper lip. I was left with a straight line of painful burns across my face which lasted almost two weeks.

On top of that, my hair grew back within hours. Imagine my embarassment having to entertain guest and greet family and friends during the holiday season. I am very dissapointed in this product and would never recommend it to anyone. Something should be done about this company's false, misleading advertising practices. I want my money back!!!M.Smith,N.Y.

Epil Stop for Men.. It actually works?

I spent some time shopping around Target today and ran across a new Epil Stop product that said "For Men Only". Oddly it was in the toothpaste isle.

I had read many ripoff-type reports on the original Epil Stop and how bad of a product it was, not working at all, wasting money, only being worth the robe.. etc etc.. I had also tried a little bit of the original epil stop with no reportable results.

After 1 hour of application after application of the stuff.. My chest and stomach are bald. I couldnt believe it when I had finished the first application that soo much hair came off with this product and not with the other one.

The Good:

The product works, some of you girls out there who cant get the normal Epil Stop to work, try the epil stop for men. Yeah it says for men but blah.. who cares if it works right?

The Bad:

Slightly messy. Would be easier if you were laying down and had someone.. a girlfriend.. to do it to you.. Could be more fun as well :)

It took me probably 6 applications, and each application produced an even more painfull burning sensation. I would suggest keeping the stuff away from your nipples if you are going to do multiple applications in one day. Im extremely impatient so I did the whole thing, all applications in about 1 hour. My chest is burning somewhat as I write this, but its no where near as painfull as Nads. If you have a very low tollerance for pain, and your very hairy, do two applications a day for a couple of days... that should give you sufficient time to overcome irritation.

The "soothing" lotion isnt exactly soothing either.. but oh well.. Definately worth the purchase and the effort for a product that hurts just a little as opposed to the nads product which practically made me cry and I could never do my whole chest.

I have a bunch of pictures I took durring the process but I still need to do one more application before Im completely done with my chest. It was kinda hurting too much for me to want to finish.. but I only have about 3% of the hair left on me that I did when I started.

Note: On the package it states wash with plenty of cold water until your skin doesnt feel sticky. Well thats fine.. but if you are doing a very large area, like your full torso, you need to get in the shower right? Its going to hurt for like 20 seconds.. then ya will be fine.

Our own clinical research has shown to be very safe and effective in the removal of hair, when the instructions are followed correctly.
