First of all, I made the mistake by agreeing to pay them. They agreed to $200/month.
All I asked in return was a receipt of payment. Something extremely typicall in any business. You pay them, they give you a receipt. Since it was a payment plan to pay an outstanding credit card bill, I expected a receipt stating: beginning balance, payments made and remaining balance. I did not think this was an unusual request.
For these people, apparently it is!!
I have made multiple requests for reciepts. One with each payment and an additional two for every month! I have not received anything. I try to e-mail a contact...all I get in return is "I'll forward this to our accounting department." I try to call...alll I get is hung up on or put on hold.
How can these "lawyers" (I hate to call them that because they are clearly not professionals) get away with this? I really don't have the money to hire a lawyer to fix this...does anyone have any advice?
