Complaint Review: Business Development Group

Business Development Group Refused to give my $800 back. Never received anything from them. St. George Utah

Cory Wagner, Cason Frei and Troy Andersen of Business Development Group in St. George Utah promised me Cory Rudl Marketing Books, 5 search engines and 2 coaching sessions.

They had me to do a balance transfer from a credit card, which can not be cancelled. They refuse to give me any response to my emails and phone calls. I have filed a complaint with the Attorney General of Utah. They have been found guilty and all they have to do is pay a fine. I can not get my money back from them unless I sue them.

We have tried several times to get a hold of Beth regarding the program she purchsed from us. Everytime an attempt was made, the phone would get hung up on us. We did get a hold of Beth once but were told that she was no longer going to deal with us herself. In order to solve this she would need to be in conact with us on th phone. I personally called several times to get her coaching up and going for her. We have a tape recorded converasation between her and our company which states her rights and cancellation process if she wished to do that. It cleary stated our cancellation policy which she agreed to. This is our compliance department that takes care of this for our protection as well as hers. However we have tried to contact Beth to solve this issue but our phone calls are going un-attended to. We have not been found guilty of anything as of this date. There is no need to try to sue us when you haven't tried to call our offices first. As of this date we have never had to solve any issues in court.

You have grounds for a lawsuit, and wouldn't need an Attorney, at this point. Your case would go into Small Claims Court. If you really want to avoid a lawsuit in general, then try writing one last very firm professional letter. Mail that letter certified and make them sign for it.

The letter should highlight the possibility of a lawsuit, since they have already been found guilty and have to pay a fine. You can clarify that they have two options for granting your refund: 1-through a lawsuit or 2-in the form of a money order or check. They couldn't be that irresponsible, unless they want even more trouble from the law. Give them a 7 to 10 work day time limit. Mass produced letters, emails or phone calls are not an acceptable reply (mention this). The only reply defined is in the form of a refund, with NO ROOM FOR DISCUSSION.

The bottom of your letter should include a list of Correspondance Copies--CC's. Inform them that the individuals listed are also receiving a copy of this letter:

Sending copies to all listed is optional, but you really should send a copy to the Attorney General of Utah. Clarify that after 10 days the cost for certified mailing, postage fees for copies mailed, processing and handling will be tacked on to the $800 they rightfully owe.

They should give you that refund.
