I got "free" business cards on Vista Print.com. This was a year or more ago.

I have now found I was being charged by a "businesmax" on my credit card. Thinking another company of a similar name I didn't think anything of it as I go there often. When I noticed it again this month I called the 800 number. I was on hold for at least 20 mins. It said something about checking your benefits on on the company you signed up with. I had no idea who it even was!

As I was on hold I put in businesmax as a search and came to this web site and found out I was not alone. I knew it was through Vista Print so went to see if I could find out more about it there (the Businessmax people said I'd be able to) and I found nothing listed on VistaPrints web page.

I finally did get through on the phone to Businessmax and asked them to cancel and refund my money. The first guy, Robert #9538 said he could do the first month, but a supervisor had to do the rest. So I talked to Ricki #10032 and she said it would be refunded, but could take up to 2 months.

I will be calling my credit card company as well and notifying them of this fraud.

I will not be buying business cards through them again, nor will I recommend them to anyone.

Read the small print, Pay attention to the pop-ups and special offers before you close your order

First off,I am not a VistaPrint Shill, I am a viligent Rip Off Report Reader, you will find my responses to several reports listed here, however this may be my first POSITIVE response i've posted. I and several businesses I am affiliated with have been using VistaPrints free business cards since they have been in business. We have never been billed for the MWIBusinessMax membership because we 'opted' out.

In the several offers that pop up between your order and actual check out there will be a VERY SMALL link that says "No Thanks" to each offer, including the one for MWIBusinessMax membership. The only way you were charged for that membership was by accepting their 30 day free trial during the course of your order. I know this because I have re ordered over a half dozen times and each time I click on the VERY SMALL "No Thanks" Link. I have seen several complaints about VistaPrint and their MWIBusinessMax affiliation, but I have not had any other charges besides my 'express ship (7 days), and I acutually got my orders in 3 days. The cards are well worth the shipping costs.

Many legitiment companies have affiliate 'free offers' attached when closing out an order, many have "NO" or "NO THANKS" in a regular size font or button. I must admit that the placing of the small 'NO THANKS' link on the MWIBusinessMax offer at the VERY VERY BOTTOM in VERY SMALL print appears to be a little deceiving, yet it is there. This is what happens when people just 'click through' windows. When ordering ANYTHING from the internet, READ BEFORE YOU CLICK, you will save yourself a bad experience.
