in november 02, i bought an externa cdrw(buslink) from tiger direct. tiger direct only have a 30 day warranty. i had to upgrade my pc so i did'nt get to the buslink cdrw for over a month. this item carries a year warranty. the model is usb 446.

i contacted buslink about 10 times as everytime i installed on my newly upgraded system, whenever i went to reboot, this unit would not let me reboot or shutdown. i went through all the troubleshooting for this model inly that buslink has on the net and nothing happened. stiil no reboot no shutdown unitil i uninstalled this unit from my pc.

i finally contacted the attorney general oc california anfd filed a compliant. only then did buslink reply, finally buslink sent me a new usbcdrw, and guess what? this unit faulty. don't buy the model 446 unless you want misery.i have an extended with tiger direct that begins in november, i will send it back to them and try to buy another cdrw. but not buslink. oh.

about two months ago, i bought a pacific digital usbcdrw, and it works perfectly. i llove this unit. a great backup. don,t buy buslink usb cdrw446 because you will regret it. good luck.
