Complaint Review: Butler Pre-ownedcars Fast Tracks

in 10/2002 i purchased a 1996 dodge caravan from butler pre-owned cars. i had the van abour 4 months when the transmission went out in the middle of a busy pittsbugh street.my friends and i had to seek refuge in a dingy little bar of uncertainty.

i called fast tracks very upset they said they could help by getting the transmission and installing it for $1925.86 which they agreed to pay one third of the price (after much haggling).they told me the had the tranny shipped from detroit and that it was a brand new tranny.

after several attempts i never recieved prooff that the tranny was brand new (only their word) so here it is 2006 and guess what the tranny is out again,so i call mr. hariff to tell him how upset i am about the tranny. he says its mechanical do you think it lasts forever?

i told him i thought it would last at least 5-6 yrs. then after telling him i didnt think i could afford to put another $2000 into a tranny. he picked up the van within 1-2 hrs.oh, did i mention today is my b_day so, i guess that was mr. hariff's way of saying happy b_day.
