I had an I-phone 6 that was bent but would still power up. I went onto buybacktronics.com web site and they have questions about the condition the cell phone is in; good, fair, or broken. I listed the phone as broken. They offered me $32 for the phone. I agreed to the price and shipped the phone to them.

About a week later I got an email from. buybacktronics.com saying the phone was broken and they have to revise their offer to $12. I told them I listed the phone as broken when they made their offer but fine. Send my phone back. 5 minutes later I got another email saying they would increase their offer $10 making a total of $22.

I countered with $28 but they said they couldn’t pay $28. I told them the $22 would be fine and to just send me a check for $22. I got an email today saying my check for $12 is in the mail and allow 3-5 days to reach me. Be aware that what ever these people offer you for your old cell phone will not be honored.

We are sorry to learn that your experience with our company was not a positive one. The condition that the device was submited in was BROKEN - the guidelines for this condition clearly state that this category is NOT for non functional devices. The device that was sent in, did not power up, and was thus considered Non functional and would not qualify for the broken category.

We do not purchase devices in this condition. When we wrote to you explaining our findings, you did not dispute that the device did not power on but rather responded that you listed it as broken. In the interest of customer recovery, we reached an agreement with you to pay $22 for the device or return the device to you, you opted to be paid $22, which you were paid and a check in the same amount shows deposited.
