Complaint Review: Buy.com

Buy.com Deceptive shipping practices - one day is not one day but one week Ripoff Aliso Viejo California

I placed on order for an item on a Tuesday and indicated I needed one-day shipping. I expected the item to ship either Wednesday or Thursday to arrive in time for my party on Friday.
I paid a lot extra for overnight shipping, but the item did not arrive until Monday.

I received an e-mail from Buy.com indicating that my order shipped on Thursday. Good, I thought, it will arrive on Friday, however, it appears that they delayed shipment of the package and did not put it out to ship until Friday afternoon.

When I complained, I was told that UPS delivered within the one-day time frame. It took 6 emails for them to understand that the problem was not with UPS, but with their company for delaying the shipment. I requested a refund but was blown off my every customer service person. What ever happened to the customer is always right?

Had they informed me there would be a delay, I would have chosen another way to ship that would have been a lot cheaper or purchased the item at another store.

Their customer service people don't care but continue to spout the same "canned" words they are given to respond with.

Beware that if you need something quickly, don't purchase it from Buy.com because they don't care and you won't get one-day shipping, it will take a minimum of 4 days if you're lucky.

Buy.com cancels unshipped items if you complain. Aliso Viejo California

I complained to Buy.com because they held up my item for shipping even though I had paid for one-day shipping. The other item I wasn't so concerned about even though it said it ships in 1-2 days. They indicated later it was being drop-shipped by someone else but you don't know that until after the order is in.

After several days of emails back and forth to customer service, and I use the term loosely, I went to check the status of the screen since it had been over a week and was last listed as in warehouse and preparing to ship. Was I surprised to find that the item was cancelled.
I did not cancel it, however, Buy.com decided that I was complaining too much, so why bother to send the other item that would have entitled me to a $150 refund when buying the two items.
So, not only am I out the screen, but the $150 I would have gotten back.
What a rip-off company!
