I purchased a XFX Geforce 9500GT 512MB DDR3 from Buy.com through Amazon, for $69.74, or so I thought. 3 days after placing the order Buy.com sent a email message stating: "We are writing to let you know that we are experiencing a delay in being able to fulfill one or more items on your order. Your order status can change quickly as we do our best to fulfill your order, and it's possible that by the time you read this email the delay affecting your order might have been fixed. It's also possible that the items you ordered could still be unavailable." I was given the option to cancel however did NOT do so.

Then silence from Buy.com. On Jan. 25, Amazon sends a message stating "Unfortunately, Buy.com has not confirmed the shipment of this order, and we are not able to provide you with shipment details yet".

Replying to Buy.com, they deny that the product is available any longer. Liars! Here it is on their site, http://www.buy.com/retail/product.asp?sku=208937314 Price: $80.69 Shipping: $7.44 ---Total Price: $88.13. Hmmm, well do you think this item is still listed on Amazon? Yes and the same exact company that sells it there is the same company that Buy.com is listing it through on their site. Only you won't find it at the price of $69.74 or free shipping!

Do not trust or purchase items from Buy.com, even if it is coming through Amazon's site. Another interesting note, I wrote a review about this on Amazon and they will not post it. Beware. Do research on Buy.com and you will find many negative comments. This also sheds a bad light on Amazon. Do they not care who uses their site to sell through? Money talks...

I just filed with the BBB and CA Dept of Consumer Affairs... buy.com advertised items at low prices and then states "out of stock, not available from mfgr" when it is, and then tried to send you to other "partner sellers" for 3 to 4 times as much, which I'm sure they get their cut of. Then as soon as the sale price is over, it's suddenly back in stock.
