By telephone, I enlisted the company to sell my time share. I provided them with my Visa for a charge of $626.00 and was to receive a contract to be signed.
The contract and sales receipt were received several days later in the mail, however, the same day of our telephone communication (9/6/2008) the charge was made to to my Visa account.

In the interim I learned that the company was not reputable and decided to request a refund and not sell my timeshare. It is my understanding that the law allows 7 days to rescind, and on 9/8/2008 I called and emailed the company advising them to cancel.They agreed to refund $501.00 and retain $125.00 as an administrative fee.

On 9/12/2008 I contacted them to find out when I would receive my refund. They said I could expect it to be credited back to my Visa account in a few days.
This morning I wrote to them again explaining that they have violated a Florida Statute and I demanded they credit my account for the entire amount of $626.00 informing them that they had processed the charge without written consent. No response as yet.

I would just like to make comment on the part about the 7-day refund policy.  I'm confused because I just received a contract on which it clearly states that it is possible to receive a refund up to 7 days after signing the contract.

I have been trying to sell my timeshare for years. I have contacted several companies and each time they gave me the same old sales pitch, money up front and we'll get this sold. Over and over again nothing has been done. When I came across Buyatimeshare.com I was skeptical to fall into another scam and lose
more money. My account was assigned to Quincy Browne. From the beginning he was very professional. He was very specific in the process of selling a timeshare and took the time to answer my questions and take me online to show me the company's number one standings in the industry. We worked together to come up with a competitive asking price. My timeshare was sold in 5 months!

I wish I would have known about Buyatimeshare.com from the start and I would not have wasted all kinds of money going with other companies who make themselves sound good but really are nothing but a scam. Buyatimeshare.com is a life saver! Thank you Quincy Browne! Each time I called in their customer service was superb. Everyone I spoke with was very knowledgeable in timeshares and answered all questions that I had. It wasnt like other companies where you get a clueless secretary answering the phones or an automated system that you have to talk to that never understands you anyways. It is real people all the time, and like I said they actually know what they are talking about. I live in Norfolk, VA, on the beach of the southern end of the great Chesapeake Bay. Actually, I don't live on the beach (yet) but in a condo that's a couple hundred yards from the beach. I have a front row seat to
watch the ship traffic coming into the port of Norfolk and the Norfolk Naval base. At night I can see the string of lights on the Chesapeake Bay Bridge and Tunnel. I also have a time share at Colonial Crossing in Williamsburg, VA, which is less than an hour up I-64.

I have not made proper use of this beautiful property and have been trying to sell it for about a year. I think I have been the prey of every crooked company of the Internet that pretends to be selling time shares.

Fortunately I received a call from Matthew Belinski at BuyaTimeShare.com. Mr. Belinski patiently worked with me for hours on the phone to enlighten me on the crooked companies I was dealing with. He explained the role and record of success of BuyaTimeShare.com. I finally decided to advertise my property with Matthew. He in turn has seen to it that I got a V.I.P deal and a front page ad on the Buyatimeshare.com web
site. This will run indefinitely until my buyer is found. I have had so many great conversations with Matt that I really feel like I know him personally.

If he came into the room where I am right now I feel like we could pick up our last conversation where we left off. I know Matt is looking after me and my interests. He never pressured me to go with his company. Rather he patiently informed me of how his company works and what a mess I was in with the other companies. I don't have the dubious and sinking feeling in my stomach that I have had when dealing with the other companies. I look forward to a positive and hopefully short relationship with Matt and

When I first contacted Quincy Browne about selling my timeshare I brought up the fact that he had complaints about him online. I was a little nervous because the complaint said that he was rude and aggressive. I couldnt disagree more! He was very polite and helped me with every aspect of selling my timeshare. He did explain to me that there are going to be complaints on every company, Wal-Mart,
Lowes, Home Depot etc. I then took a look at their ranking report and saw they are the number one company for selling timeshares. I also went on and read other testimonials on Quincy Browne that said the same things I am saying. He was very patient while I made my decision as to sell my timeshare or not. He made calls to the resort to see what I had available so we could properly advertise my timeshare. His assistant was just as helpful giving me updates on the status of my timeshare and answering any questions that I had throughout. The fact is that you cannot believe everything you read online. I will start by saying that I am sorry for any miscommunication in this transaction but it is completely unfair and unsubstantiated for this woman to file a complaint on this website. This woman requested our help in promoting her timeshare through our website. We did enter into an agreement with this woman and advertised her property. Contrary to her statement, she was in fact told very clearly that her credit card would be charged the very day she listed which she agreed to, as with all our customers, because we build the ads immediately and this costs money. Apparently someone told this woman we weren't reputable, and for some reason she believed this, and called to cancel her ads with our company. Since she was past the 72 hour cancelation period, SHE AGREED to an 80% refund which was more than fair considering we didn't have to refund anything. I have an email from this customer which clearly stated she was happy with this resolution. The refund was processed immediately but it typically takes a few days for the credit card merchant to post a refund. Because there was a delay in processing the refund FROM THE CREDIT CARD COMPANY, she filed this unjust complaint. If she has a problem with the time it takes for funds to be credited back to her account, she should speak to her credit card company. As far as the supposed 7 day grace period to cancel an ad, there is no such thing. This woman most likely spoke to one of many unscrupulous companies out there that told her we were something we weren't and fabricated a law for her to use to strong arm us. They create bogus laws and statutes to misinform their clients. It's absurd. The bottom line is that we did everything on our end as we were supposed to. We placed the ad when asked. We canceled the ad and refunded the agreed upon amount when asked. For her to file a report is completely irresponsible AND unethical on her end. Furthermore, the additional amount of $125 has been credited back even though we didn't have to. We credited it back because we do care and want to do right by our customers, but not because we had to. I have no idea why she would file a report when we did everything we were asked of by this customer.
