Buyatimeshare.com is only known to me as a Website. They contacted me by e-mail because they had information I owned a timeshare. I contacted them back.  They gave appraisal of your timeshare - on high side.  You had option to lower asking price at any time. They posted information about your resort and your timeshare options on their website, indicating people looking for resale timeshares would look at their website when looking to purchase resale timeshares, Until timeshare was sold, they would rent it out for you.

Charged $1100 approximately up front for this service.

Heard nothing back from them. Lowered price twice (third time lowered price to only a couple thousand dollars). Received 0 offers on property.

Had one potential offer to rent to it for very small amount, but we had already deposited timeshare for the year and therefore could not rent it.

Timeshares are hard to sell. The whole timeshare concept is not geared to the consumer/owner. Many people are trying to sell their timeshares. Everything is stacked against the individual owner/seller. We had no offers on the timeshare after 18 months and reducing the price severly.

Many other timeshare resale companies have similar schemes. A whole industry has sprung up preying on hapless timeshare owners. There is really no way out for the owner. Timeshares are real-estate and require deed and escrow company to cmplete sale, which is difficult for uninformed individual to do.

We eventually ended up paying a fee to another company to donate our timeshare....so we could take a very small amount off our income tax.

I don't know how many timeshares Buyatimeshare.com has actually sold.

I just want to do my part to alert other timeshare owners to avoid these money pits (or investigate thoroughly) before paying up-front fee and hoping for a resale.
