I ordered a camera from them that was priced at a very good price, or so I thought. Here's the actual camera: http://www.bwayphoto.com/product.asp?id=sndsch7b&pid=specs

I read some of the reviews of this company, but not all of them were bad, so I decided to give them a try. I signed up for an account with them, but was still nervous, so I didn't place the order right away.

Then I got an email from them with a free shipping coupon, so I used that and placed the order. The very next day, I get an email and phone call from them asking me to verify the order. I kinda expected it after reading the reviews.

Well, I called and the guy kept me on hold for over 10 minutes. Finally, when I spoke to him, he started asking me questions to verify the order. Then he tried getting me to upgrade the battery. I declined. Then he tried to get me to buy a memory card. I declined on that as well. I told him I only wanted the camera. Then he noticed that I used the free shipping coupon that they sent me. He tells me that I can't use both the coupon and get the free tripod/cleaning kit/LCD screen protector that automatically was supposed to come with it if the order was over $250. So he told me I had to pick one promotion or the other.

Once I picked, he was like, "well, you should upgrade to the US version of the camera, since you ordered the Japanese version". This took me by surprise. I looked the description over very thoroughly before placing the order, and it did not say anything about this being a Japanese version. He kept asking, would you like to upgrade, or did you want the Japanese version. I asked how much extra it would cost. He said it would be $399 (instead of the $333 that I thought I'd be paying), which is the price of the camera anywhere. This really started making me mad, and I asked him nicely to cancel the order. He finally said "fine, your order is cancelled" and hung up on me.

Later, I did finally get an email from them confirming that my order was cancelled, but now I'm worried since they have my credit card information. I will be watching my credit card activity very carefully from now on.

This company needs to be stopped. What they are doing is wrong. Please don't order from them. You can get the same items at reputable dealers for the same price (maybe less) than you will pay at Broadway Photo & Video. Also, be careful, because I read that this company operates under more than one name.
