RE: C.C. Computers

My saga began on July 31, 1999 when I attended a Computer EXPO at the state fairgrounds in Raleigh, North
Carolina. I went in search of a 21 monitor for my personal computer. After visiting almost every vendor in the
EXPO, I finally found one 21 monitor at the C.C. Computer booth. They had one left and after I paid for it, I was
told there was no box with it. I secured it in the back seat of my car and traveled home.
A few days after I installed the 21 monitor it started to flicker and then went blank. On August 8, 1999 I wrote to
C.C. Computer, at the above address, asking them to send me a replacement 21 monitor. I told them that since
they had not supplied a box for the monitor, I had no way to package it correctly and asked them to send me a
replacement: I then told them I would place the defective unit into the box they shipped the new one in and return
it to them. I thought it a simple request. NOT!
When they had not responded for several days, I called and left a message for them to call me about replacing the
monitor. When they did not return my call, I wrote North Carolina Attorney General Mike Easley about what had
transpired. His office answered that they had written C.C. Computer on my behalf. Several days later I received a
letter from Mike Easley's office informing me that C.C. Computer had failed or refused to answer the letter sent
by the North Carolina Attorney General's office and they had forwarded my complaint to the Virginia Attorney
general, Mark Earley.
A few days later I received a form from the Virginia Department of Agriculture and Consumer Affairs to fill out
and issue a formal complaint against C.C. Computer. I filled out the form and waited. I am still waiting. No one in
the government of Virginia has done anything more then write letters for the past six months. C.C. Computer told
one investigator that they had contacted me and told me to send the monitor in for repair. No one at C.C.
Computers has written or called me in the 8 months that I have been trying to get the monitor replaced, yet the
Virginia officials seem to think they have; never mind that I have written the authorities several letters asking for
help.
I just want the monitor replaced !!
Any help will be appreciated,
