Recently, I have noticed that the octane on the premium on all big apple shell and citgo gas has gone from 93 to 91. And to add insult to injury, instead of making the mid grade 10cents higher than the regular, and the premium another dime higher, Big apple seems to be the ONLY gas station in the area that gouges the hell out of the customer by making the premium and mid grade MUCH higher than 10 cents apart from each other.

Why, when the octane was 93, they always charged twenty cents for the premium more than the regular, but, for some time now, I have noticed the consumer theft this company has been pulling on those buying premium, AND the octane has been lowered on top of that. They are getting away with theft, People do not need to be gouged just because the car requires a higher octane. 99% of gas stations here DO NOT follow this practice.

I don't understand how the state lets them get away with this theft. When irving lowered the octane to 91, they LOWERED the price so it was no more than 15cents over the regular. This morning Big apple was 45cents higher for their premium than regular. This is consumer theft at its best form, and they can get away with it, too
