My husband and I went thru C.R. Englands school in Mira Loma AUg. 2004 and drove as a team for a year. We even got ropped into there lease program and found we where making no money at all, everything went to the truck and left us with 0 doller paychecks. When we questioned why, we where told we hadn't been driving 5000 miles a week, even tho we drove everything they gave us. After a year of this we decided to leave them and after quiting they sent us a letter stating our lic. where no good that California revolked them due to some code C.R. England didn't follow. So after all our time and money for a year we are left with no job and no CDL lic. We also had 2 tickets we needed to pay and asked C.R. England to help us with them since there so called training left us with no career. So here we are now with no CDL and our regular lic.'s are suspended. If anyone knows how to get help with this please feel free in contacting me e-mail. We really want to get back on the road but with a better company...

Answer for Kem, and Christine regarding CR England

First to Kem,

CR England did not revoke the CDL. The State of CA did. This happened to some close freinds of mine that went through the same facility. CR England is a 3rd party examiner, and can test and issue CDL's. HOWEVER, that facility was busted in cutting corners on training and pushing through non qualified drivers just to get them into their lease program.

For Christine,

You have recourse! Contact the OOIDA. They have several lawsuits aginst CR England and have been supporting drivers in your exact situation.

CR England is legally obligated to retrain you and pay for your new CDL. They should do this without much of a fight and put you on as a company driver. After 6 months in the lease program, you are supposed to be guaranteed to be hired as a company driver as per what they advertise, and tell you in orientation.

These lease programs are ONLY for the benefit of the company. It is IMPOSSIBLE to make any real money on any company sponsored lease program. That is why they fill those programs with new drivers who know nothing about the industry or what it takes to operate a truck.

CR England lost at least one class action lawsuit
that I know of for illegal leases that violated federal disclosure laws.

Unless you go to Swift, you need to get your CDL back first before anyone will hire you.

Good luck.

How can they, the company revoke your license? They are not the DOT, or the law. And your tickets are your responsility. Most of us already know that CR England is a ripoff compnay, and they got you. Did you do a background check on them? And how does one work for a year with no pay like you say? Somethings just do not make any sense here.
