C.R. ENGLAND TRUCKING Accident Neglect Salt Lake City, Utah

C.R. England Trucking apparently does not care if a trucks retreaded tire comes off and does major damage to your car. One of their trucks lost it's whole retreaded tire and it slammed into our car, we were unable to obtain the truck number as it was going over 70mph and our car was heavily damaged with a ripped apart front end and broken radiator. We gave C.R. England the interstate info, and mile marker and time of this incident, their response:  Oh well, you don't have a truck number, so, sorry.  Caution people, be aware of semi-trailers number, names and phone numbers as this will be your only proof, other truckers seeing the incident will not radio him/her to let them know to stop.  Luckily we were not killed or injured, but the next time someone else may be.

C.R. England truck going over 70 mph?

At C.R. England, company trucks are governed at 62 mph and lease trucks are governed at 70 mph. The only way the truck could go faster would be to go downhill.

Most drivers would call the negligent driver out on an accident.  It is true that you needed to get a truck or trailer number because without one or the other, there is no way of knowing which driver is responsible.

I do currently drive for the company and while I am not happy with my paychecks, safety is their main priority... other than making themselves money and not the drivers.

For the record, other companies sometimes pull C.R. England trailers if a driver drops a load or doesn't have the available hours to complete it, so the truck in question may not have belonged to C.R. England.

I for one would have stopped and reported the accident even though I more than likely would have been fired by the company.
