On June 28th, Charles Lake and company from C & T Concrete & Masonry arrived to pour, frame and complete our front steps and deck. He was payed in full, because he would not complete the work if I did not. Shortly after I paid him, I had to leave to pick up my children. When I came back everyone was gone and the framework was still in place.

We called and were told that it would be removed the following day. Nobody showed up the following day, or anytime since. We have made several phone calls, have set several completion dates, and he has not reappeared. For the past 2 weeks he is unreachable.
We have had to remove the framework ourselves for fear of termites. The job was done very sloppy. The steps are not level. The sides are horrible, because of the framework being in place so long. There is concrete that was attempted to be hidden a small layer of dirt in my garden. This is the concrete that they broomed off the steps and just let form in the garden.

There are stones all over our front yard from improper clean up. There are also pieces of brick in the garden.
Charles Lake claims that the work is beautiful however we have had several comments from other concrete workers in the neighborhood that said we were ripped off.

We selected C & T Concrete because they had done some work in the neighborhood. Some of this work has been torn up and replaced. However we cannot afford to go through this process again.

The C & T in the company name stand for Charles Lake and Teresa Olivo. The phone number is registered in her name. The phone is not registered to a business, even though it is listed as their business phone on their business card.

Every time we have spoken to Charles about fixing his work, he as given us a long sob story about why he has not been out. He then reschedules with us and then does not show up. As I have said, he is currently unreachable.

Right now our front yard looks terrible and we don't quite know what to do.
If you can offer any assistance, let us know.
