Cablevision/Optimum Online-Ken Warren Cablevision did not honor agreement when switched back from Directv Warwick, New york New York
My contract with Cablevision (Optimum) ended in December of 2007, so I signed on with Directv for one year, due to the better pricing, and truthfully, better picture.
On April 12, 2008, I had a gentleman (Ken Warren) stop by my house with an offer to re-instate my Cablevision account (Optimum Online) with a promise to buy out the Directv contract up to $249.00. All is good, we do paperwork, set up schedule, and he asks me to fax over the last statement from Directv with the total cancellation fee, they will re-imburse me $100 on my cable account, then another $150 check. Good. The paperwork says $150 credit, because, said Ken, his supervisor can't let him put it on paper, but he calls the guy, and we all agree to a $249 contract buy-out reimbursement. I receive a credit of $108 on my account, and after faxing Ken Warren numerous times, the last voice message I have from him on June 16 says 'The lady who cuts the checks said yours was cut on MAY 5TH and you should have it any day'. Needless to say, I am still waiting for it. I faxed him again, and have head nothing since.
When my 'good deal' with Cablevision expires, I am definitely not renewing. Don't trust anyone from Optimum Online unless they put the exact deal in writing, regardless of what the 'supervisor' says.
Not a good business practice.
