Terrible customer service! I called Judy at Caesars Motorcycle to inquire about a rear tire for our Kawasaki, I read her the tire size and she informed me she would call me back with quotes. When she called back she told me I had been using the wrong tire size, and told me it would be around $400 for another (proper) tire. Judy wasn't sure when she could have it there/ordered and I needed to pay a deposit. I put down $150, I'm new to owing a motorcycle and the price had me worried all night. I called her the very next morning to cancel after talking to South Valley. (Who said the tire size I had was fine and more readily available, not to mention half the price!) She called me back an hour later and said she'd "already ordered it and the supplier doesn't really take returns! She had to charge me a 20% re-stocking fee!" Keep in mind the tire wasn't even in her possession yet! I told her she mislead me to believe I had the wrong size. Never quoted me for what I asked for, and she said she would call me before she placed the deposit on my card. (which she didn't) She never offered any other options of tire sizes or prices. When I asked for a refund she told me that it wasn't open for negotiations and wouldn't discuss the matter further, even though no products or services were rendered.

I have a few "proper" customer service recommendations

1. Quote customers for what they ask for
2. Find a supplier who accepts returns/re-stocks their products
3. Be kind! Inform new customers of all their options, tell them to call around for quotes so they are comfortable with the price.
4. Offer "in store" credit
5. Refund customers when you fail miserably at your job
