Cal Coast Repiping, Going Out of Business?

Well it looks like all of these postings are finally working. The rumor is that Cal Coast Repiping is going out of business. It's reminiscent of Chuck Vershaw's failure of Sears Copper Repiping in the 90's. Here are some of the things we've heard:

They're being is investigated for false advertising, breach of contract, lack of plumbing design work and failure to consider structural integrity.

Their hiring practices (of possibly illegal workers) are being looked into.

They are under investigation for safety violations; such as lack of training and hazardous material violations.

They were charged by the Los Angeles City Attorney's Environmental Justice Unit, with 9 counts of violating asbestos emission rules.

He no longer advertises in the Los Angeles Times.

Ed Michaud's anger got the best of him and he assaulted a customer.

If you have a claim or warranty issue, you should act soon. Cal Coast Repiping's bond is only $12,500, with American Contractors Indemnity Company (800 486-6695).

Chuck Vershaw has started a new company by the name of T A Z Plumbing Company. Obviously we can't recommend using them and he knows we'll watch this company closely.

I think the good guys finally won against an UNETHICAL company and its dishonest owners.
