Complaint Review: Cal Spas

Cal Spas Does Not Honor Their Warranty - A Complete Scam Their warrant is a fake. The advertise a 5 year warranty that doesnt cover anything. Pomona California

We went out of our way to purchase a Cal Spa. In the first year we have a problem with an indicator and they fixed it. In the second year, we were having problems with the jets and they said - sorry, your kids cause the jet problems. This was after a complete service visit.

One month later, the pump started having an issue. Ooops, not the kids this time - you haven't taken care of the tub by regulating the water. Only problem is that i have tested the water in this tub continuously and have never indivicate any severe problems with bromine, ph and hardness. Apparently, according to Cal Spas, I am an idiot.

When we called customer service, they told us that we should check the spa for leaks every two weeks. We always look for leaks but they really meant that we should remove the cover on the motor and check every two weeks. But wait...my spa comes equiped with 11 stainless screws to keeps the wood on the motor covered. Why would any reasonable company expect a consumer to unscrew 11 screws every two weeks (not hardware fixture to protect it so this would like result in stripping very quickly due to wood to wood contact) to check for leaks? Reasonable. I don't think so.

The opinion of the service tech after he quoted $1,200 dollars to fix the formerly my kids fault jets and now a chemical imbalance jets? Trade up!! I don't think so.

My last spa was purchased on the side of the road in Dallas and lasted many years without a single problem. Do not buy Cal Spas. You will pay extra and they will not honor any guarantee they promise.
