Complaint Review: CalCars

Knowingly sold van that could not pass emissions. Knowingly sold van that had a messed up title. Knowingly sold van with bad brake system, that completely failed within first two weeks of purchase. Knowingly sold vehicle that pulled heavy to the right side that destroyed relatively new front tires within a month.

The pulling was determined to be a steering column problem. On top of the $3995 purchase price, and waiting over three months to receive title, $630 was spent to replace the brake system during this period. Moreover, $1166 was spent on a transmission repair by Transmission Connection 3922 Dixie Hwy. Erlanger, Ky. that never was satisfactorily repaired, whom Calcars sent us to for repair to be financed. The engine has since went out.

Calcars told us (my wife and I) that should a high amount of repairs be needed, that they would replace the vehicle, when we purchased the 1992 Dodge Caravan in question. Calcars has not lived up to the statement aforementioned and infact has tried to get us to purchase yet another vehicle from them.
