Complaint Review: California Cycles

These people are con artists.  Do NOT rent from them.  After getting scammed by them, I talked to other customers and found out they have worked out several scams to keep deposit money.  Many of the employees are family members and they are encouraged to take part in these scams.  They are rude and disrespectful to the customers.  The scooters are not well maintained and are not safe.  They truly do not care about the safety of their customers.  They also informed me (Brian) that they do not care if they get bad reviews.  Please do not support this business.  

We were told we could bring the scooter back early to charge it since there was no place to charge it at our condo.  Sales person - Brian - told us we could have the scooter until 11 but that the contract would say 10.  He seemed really nice and was believeable.  When we returned the scooter before 11 so that we could charge it, a long white haired tatooed man (uncle of the owner) charged us our deposit because the scooter was not fully charged.  When I told him that Brian gave us until 11, he and Brian both laughed at us and said, "the contract states you will bring it back by 10".  

Also, the brakes did not work and it was raining.  They would not admit that the brakes weren't working but did finally admit that the parking brake was defective.  

The sales people cussed at us and when I informed the owner she stated, "We all talk like sailors.  They get that from me." 

 We drove the cart for less than 2 hours and paid $220.00.  RIP-OFF.
