California Department of Motor Vehicles (DMV) Late fee scam! Sacramento California
This is the 2nd year in a row that the lovely officials in Sacremento have screwed me over with outragous DMV renewal late fees. I thought I was going crazy until I found this website and read that others were having the same problem. You see, I never received the renewel notice until I got the late notice with an additional $118 late fee on it. I knew that CA was trying to get some revenue back, but how about trying something OTHER THAN ripping off the residents! Times are tough, and I dont have the extra cash lying around to donate to the state's exuberant spending problem.
