DO NOT DO BUSINESS WITH CALIFORNIA LIMOUSINES!!
In 2003 I arranged for a group limo outing with California Limousines in Gold River, CA (near Sacramento). Because our outing ended about a half hour past the scheduled conclusion time, our driver requested and I paid an overtime charge of about $50, an amount I felt was fair and reasonable.
A month later California Limousines hit my credit card for an additional $161.01, the owner John Riga explaining to me that our driver arrived late to her next pickup, so he decided to credit that customer $161.01 as a "goodwill gesture"; California Limousines, however, never presented me with any terms and conditions at the time I made my reservation which indicated I'd be subject to such an overtime penalty charge.
Because Riga refused to credit me for the $161.01, I filed a small claims lawsuit against him in Sacramento Superior Court in the fall of 2003. I won the case, but it wasn't until early 2008 that Riga finally paid me the judgment amount.
Visit the Sacramento Superior Court case index website https://services.saccourt.com/indexsearchnew/CVFLPRSearch.aspx, do a search by entering either "John Riga" or "California Limousines" and you'll find that Riga and his company have been the defendants in a number of small claims and civil lawsuits, including a sexual harassment suit filed by one of his female limo drivers. And visit the Sacramento Better Business Bureau (BBB) at http://www.sacramento.bbb.org/WWWRoot/SitePage.aspx?site=67&id=64fbf996-624a-4010-92bd-85ab432224c4; go to the "BBB For Consumers" link and then do a search for California Limousines; you'll see that the company has, according to the BBB, an "unsatisfactory record with the BBB due to failure to respond to two or more complaints".
