THINK TWICE BEFORE YOU PAY FOR A CONSULTATION! NOT WORTH IT!!

I wasted a $100 to meet with someone that would not be performing the surgery my dog needs. Turns out the facility in Ontario is not fully equiped for some surgeries and transports animals to their Carlsbad location. It does not state that anywhere on their website and when I called to schedule the consultation the woman on the other end never mentioned it either. But, she gladly made my appointment and said that it would be a $100 to meet with the vet at CVS Ontario. When I got there I filled out my paperwork and handed over the x-ray that I brought with me. The doctor reviewed it and checked her out  and said that my dog needed painful knee replacement surgery. He discussed it in detail and mentioned that if my dog rejects the implant she may need to have her knee amputated. I left with an estimate and he kept the X-Rays.

It gets better!

I had some questions and spoke with someone by the name of Janette at the Carlsbad location and guess what she said the quote was wrong and that it would cost TWO THOUSAND DOLLARS MORE!!! But, since Ontario messed up they would honor the lower amount so, I better schedule it now! So, they wanted me to schedule the knee surgery for my dog WITHOUT even meeting the doctor that would actually be performing the surgery!

I wanted a second opinion and I called TWICE to see if I could pick up the X-Rays. No one ever called back.

I called and complained the next week and I finally got a call back they found her X-Rays. Too late. I was able to get copies and I found a vet that I am comfortable with. After a couple of consultations she does NOT need the replacement surgery and I am OUTRAGED that CVS Ontario did not even take the time to go over other options and off the bat recommended knee replacement.

Do the research and read the reviews... Find someone else! I did.

Someone replied on Yelp to my original post and he could have not be more condescending.
