I initially ordered the California White Smile system to try to whiten my teeth. The offer seemed fine - a 10 day free trial. If you dont like it within that time, call to cancel your subscription.

I received my free sample. Unfortunately I was unable to complete even the initial setup instructions because I live in a studio apartment without a full kitchen or microwave, so I could not even try it.

The very next day, I called to their specially created cancellation service and requested that my account be canceled. Because of the amount of information they requested, I called back again a few minutes later and left a SECOND message making sure that I definitely included all the information they required.

A few days later, my credit card was charged $99.90 for the subscription. I immediately searched the net to see if I could find anyone else out there that had problems cancelling their subscription to California White Smile. Sure enough, I found a ton of people who had exactly similar problems trying to cancel their subscriptions, and even further evidence of future attempts at identity theft for the credit cards used with them.

The scam they pull is this... They charge your card for the subscription. When you call, they say they never got your cancellation message, and you now have to return the product in order to get your refund. 30 days later when you call them back to get your money back, they claim that you never returned the product they shipped to you within the 14 day time frame they give you to return the product shipped to you. BUT - here is the key - they NEVER SEND YOU ANYTHING IN THE FIRST PLACE. So, in the end they keep 100% of what they charged you for. And once they verify they can charge your credit card properly, they sell your complete information to an identity theft ring.

I then called them right away. Sure enough, the call went down just like a script, to the T fitting the descriptions that I had found. I yelled and screamed that I wanted my money back, and they refused to do so.

Now its several days later. There is no sign of the so-called shipment. I think all the rest of what I found is probably true as well.

Think twice before getting anything from this company so you too do not get burned. I went to their site, and the entire site's text and terms have been radically altered from what I got when I signed up. It's cheaper and they give you 30 days now.

My money was refunded as of this morning. My thanks to Rip Off Reports and all the people out there that has made this happen. Hopefully this will help the company clean it's act up so no more people will be victimized.
