This is the absolute WORST company I have ever dealt with. I called for a free quote and was charged over $400 for 5 minute work to get the free quote. The electrician they sent out was not with the program at all and had obvious mental problems and kept repeating the same thing over and over.
They totally ripped me off on the quote and their quote was $3000 higher than all the other electrical companies in the area. On 04/18/2019 this company's accreditation in BBB was revoked by BBB's Board of Directors due to failure to cooperate with the BBB on advertising matters, per https://www.bbb.org/us/fl/deland/profile/electrician/calkins-electric-construction-co-0733-4003026/details#all-alerts

Without regard to what problems you have encountered with this company, let me enlighten you about the glaring, obvious hipocracy of the BBB and all their BS. You stated the BBB "revoked" their "membership" because they failed to comply with the BBB advertising policy or matters. Funny, funny!
The BBB sets itself up as some great example honesty and integrity! Guess what, the BBB itself is holding itself out using FALSE ADVERTISING! The BBB is NOT part of ANY government or law enforcement body. The BBB has ZERO POWER to do anything!
The BBB actively attempts to DECEIVE the public into thinking they are part of L/E or government by calling themselves "the bureau" just like the FBI and other REAL L/E agencies do. Those "accreditations" and "ratings" are all WORTHLESS because businesses PAY FOR THEM!
The BBB fake "mediation" process is also FALSE ADVERTISING because in a REAL mediation setting, the mediator is a disinterested party with NO TIES to either of the parties involved. With the BBB, the FAKE MEDIATOR is a BBB employee or contractor PAID by the BBB.
The FAKE MEDIATOR is NOT going to rule against a BBB customer who PAID for their FAKE "accreditation" and FAKE "rating"! So who in the he&$ is the BBB going to find fault with a business when IN REALITY, their whole sham of an operation is based on deception?
Understand, I am NOT saying your complaint is not valid. I am saying the BBB is NOT what you might think they are and the BBB is MEANINGLESS because ANY business can BUY whatever rating they want. The BBB and the words "trust" and "integrity" do not belong in the same sentence!
