Complaint Review: CALL HIPPO

CALL HIPPO Once I found that their advertising is fraudulent, I asked to cancel and refund me literally right after I paid, they proceeded to charge me double and not give me a refund. Claymont Delaware

I contacted Call Hippo to get a soft phone on my computer and my phone, they're advertising said it was only $18/month to have a USA virtual phone with FREE outbound calling. I was contacted by a sales rep through the chat and she proceeded to set my account up. During the whole conversation I told her it's great they offer unlimited outbound calling for $18/month and she said yes the service is very good and reliable continuing to open my account knowing exactly what I expected.

She set my account up and after my credit card was charged for ONE user which is $18 I get bait and switched to a screen that says "Purchase credits in order to call."





I immediately call her a liar and tell her to cancel my account and refund without even using the service. She transfers me to customer service in India, where an Indian guy is telling me sorry no refund but we can cancel your service. I said that's total BS because I just got your services right now and was mislead by your advertising and your sales agent. He said nothing we can do, and then proceeded to charge my account TWICE. I've asked for refunds multiple times but they're saying that they cannot give me a refund and they're not sure how I got charged for two accounts!

This service is horrible, not only when you want to cancel they don't cancel you right away, they double charge you and say you can't be refunded. Total scam company, unethical especially during these coronavirus times where every dollar counts. They charged me TWICE after I asked to cancel.
