in the area of calvertsexpress auto service& tire when I had a problem with my truck, I pulled over on the side of road , turn off my truck got out and seen smoke underneath,. I was scared, went across the street ask them if they had a fire extinguisher and if the could help me I didn't know if my truck was on fire or not , I was so scared when I seen the smoke the auto mechanic. Said oh things are okay it's just your catalytic converters stop up,keep in mind catalytic converter was on fire, mechanic said you can't drive the truck you were lucky that your truck didn't burn up. I was across the street from there business , let's go over the office I will give a price , but we can't do the job tonite we're are closing. But we can order catalytic converter and put it on in the morning , for your 2000 Ford F-350 cost will be $1439.89 must pay $720.00 down. at the time I thought I had no choice next morning took a bout 30 min. Total . Paid $1439.39 . Left on my why home same thing happened on the converter , call calverters back they said bring it back I will check it out.took my truck back scared that $1439.39 converter would burn up, mechanic said where are going to put your truck on a machine to find out what is going onto I will have to leave your truck, called me later and said oh you have a fuel injector leaking on your catalytic converter causing your problem .this will cost you another $719.56. That meant that was the problem to begin with , ask them to help me out On the price I didn't need a converter . Said that they could not, so we came and pulled my truck home. Called four other companies on a price of coverter for my truck highest price was $625. Plus labor. Was took and rob can't fix my truck till I save money.
