To d**k Lau
Dealer Principal
Cam Clark Ford Lincoln

Good afternoon Mr. d**k Lau, I have a claim on my car with Family Insurance and they had told me to bring it down to Cam Clark Ford in North Vancouver to get the repairs done so then I decided that I was going to bring it down but before doing so I came down to the body shop talked to Mike Colwell and explained to him that my car was broken into and that I had a claim from Family Insurance. I wanted to make sure that he understood that I put a lot of money and
time into may car and it's very precious to me he acknowledged by telling me not to worry about it that it would be looked after. I felt more comfortable after speaking with him regarding so then I decided to get my car towed there, again before my car was towed I phoned a couple of more times just to make sure that he knew how important my car is to me because of all the money I put into it, he re-assured me that it would be cared for, I said OK the car is on it's way. Canada Day was right around the corner so I knew the car wasn't going to be worked on till Tuesday morning.

The Towing company sent a flat deck to pick up my car, he actually went around the car with me to check out the damages and I had shown him the driver side door lock and ignition that was damaged, when the driver dropped off the car someone from the dealership had to of signed off on it and checked the car out standard procedure because I've worked in a body shop as a claims adjuster so I know what the procedure is. Then the shop had called to let me that the car had arrived and that they wanted me to come down on Tuesday to do the walk around with Mike to go over the car and the damages and I said OK I will be there on Tuesday. I then came down to the dealership on a Monday
afternoon to check on my car because it was parked outside, I actually wanted the car to be parked inside because of the ignition it was in the on position and it would be very easy to steal but the car was left outside. I checked the car and it was fine it was locked and there was no damage on the front bumper so I left.

Tuesday came around and it was time for me to go see Mike at the body shop to go over my car, when I went down there we went over my car and I noticed that there was a fresh mark on my front bumper, someone actually hit my car. the one thing that through me off was as soon as I mentioned it to Mike before finishing my sentence he told it wasn't any of them that did it and the tone of his voice his body language and facial expression said it all for me that he didn't have my car's or my best interest at hand, I felt very uncomfortable at that time and he had mentioned to me a couple of times take the car somewhere else instead of trying to figure out what had happened, they parked a huge crate with a truck bed in it beside my car and it was very close to my car and where the damage was it was consistent, that who ever dropped off the crate must have hit my front bumper of my car right away Mike told me that he was the one that parked the crate there and that he didn't do it so basically he's saying that  the damage was there from before and that he wasn't taking responsibility for it. I asked the tow truck driver again to make sure because Mike said that it could have been him that did the damage, I told him it was impossible because I came the day after and there was no
damage there. The driver came down took some pictures of my car and went into the shop and noticed that there was several things like car, truck or even a tool box that could have made that mark, the color of the damage was blue. I had my car towed to another shop to get a estimate of the front bumper which you can look at in the attachments
and plus there is a witnesses that saw my car at my place before getting towed one is the West Vancouver Police Department and the other is the Tow truck driver pictures and all. I do hope that your company will take
responsibility of what took place with my car on your lot. Please get back to me with a response.

 Best Regards

Dik Lau's response was, Thank you for your email and information, I think the best solution of this matter would be an insurance claim.
