Cambece, Demands Bank Account Drafts Can They Legally Do Anything If You Stop Allowing Them Access To Your Bank Account? Peabody Ma
In February we contacted our creditors after a years worth of crisis's prevented us from paying on our bills (loss of employment and a horrible illness and 2 deaths). Before we could even begin to get on our feet we immediately went after our creditors to try and begin repaying. Many of our creditors sent us to Cambece with different accounts. On one of these accounts the man who my husband talked with demanded that my husband give him his bank account information or else he would have to file a lawsuit immediately. Several days of these threats my husband caved in.
I want to cancel this, we've been paying on it for awhile, but are afraid of reprecussions. I'm sick of living in fear, I'm sick of being threatened. I'm sick of these people in our account. Can collectors demand our bank account numbers? I have another company demanding the same thing, they say they refuse to take checks or work with CCCS. Are there laws to protect us...or do we have to give over our bank accounts, without original checks how can we prove we made any payments...Can someone helps us?

For BANKRUPTCY. Sometimes it's the only way out, and in your case, it's probably best. I would close the bank account so they can't debit any more money, and see a BK lawyer. You still have time before the new law kicks in!
