First, I am aware these are my own personal opinions. I will try to provide as factual an account as I can.

Unfortunately, I, too have become a victim of their vanity scheme. A representative called me a 3 days ago and managed to part me $518.95 from my credit card using high pressure sales tactics. When I realized what kind of organization they were, I called my credit card company immediately to dispute the transaction. I called the merchant company the next day and was put in touch with a customer service rep. She was notified that I wished to cancel the transaction and file a full refund. She was also told that I would be sending a certified letter stating I spoke with her. She replied that they would go over the transaction call (doubtful) and would call me back.

After doing a little research, I discovered that their solicitation falls under the Federal Trade Commission Cooling Off Act. This entitles us as consumers to rescind a transaction within 3 business days. My state and several others also have similar laws that provide added protection (in this case, a refund must be delivered within 10 business days on notification) and apply to this case. I have also discovered that failure to produce a sales receipt to the consumer is grounds for a credit card chargeback.

My postmarked certified letter is proof that I requested cancellation. I have also sought counsel with the office of my state attorney general. Since then, I have filed complaints with the Federal Trade Commission, my state attorney general, the NYC BBB. I am preparing to submit a complaint form to the NY attorney general as well.

Since then, I have only insisted speaking with someone can authorize refunds. I called her back today notifying what I have done above and she gave me the same response of calling me back. I left a message with her, and I intend to provide phone logs showing she made no attempts to initiate a call me.

I post this not only as warning about this company but to outline the steps I am taking to get a total refund. I hope this will help others, as this has been a learning experience.

I will update as actions occur and am prepared to take legal action. Based on the numerous complaints online, it's surprising legal action at the state and national level has not occurred.
